Tulip Red Riding Hood from 1953 is a popular Rockery Tulip which is suitable for potting in particular as well as the garden and/or rockery. A very bright carmine red Greigii tulip with attractive variegated leaves growing to 30 cm.
Kaufmanniana and Greigii tulips often have mottled or striped leaves. As they grow to 20 - 30 cm, these tulips are excellent in pots and rockeries. They can also be left in the ground to naturalise when planted in a well-drained soil.
