Both Crocus Sativus and Colchicum are Autumn flowering, and therefore, need to be ordered before March! The spice, Saffron, is derived from Crocus Sativus (Saffron Crocus). The stigmas are dried and used in cooking. These are easy to grow and should be left in the ground. Colchicum, too, should be left in the ground and create an amazing display of purple flowers in March/April.
