Daffodils (Narcissus)

Narcissus are believed to be named after the Greek youth 'Narcissus', whose body turned into the narcissus flower when the youth drowned while obsessed by his own beauty reflected in the water. Hence, Daffodil flowers tend to face down. Narcissus are very hardy and can be left to naturalize. They can be used in gardens, lawns and pots. These are also ideal for planting under deciduous trees. The miniature varieties are perfect for pots and for garden beds.
